To activate our public open spaces and grow local business, Council supports a range of commercial activities in parks that improve visitor experience and benefit the community, such as personal training and other health, well-being and life skills classes, recreation equipment hire and tours, festivals, markets, food stalls and mobile food vendors, fun runs and other sport and leisure activities. Council regulates these commercial activities to ensure public health and safety, and fair and equitable use of public park spaces.
